This trip to DC started out as a royal PITA, but now I'm diggin' it. Schedule changes right up to leaving the runway this morning have cost my employer enough money in cancellation and flight change fees to send my family to Hawaii. I'm over on the Arlington side, a little ways from the Capitol and Washington Monument, but if we get done early enough tomorrow, I will attempt a tactical insertion, sweep, and exit of the Smithsonian Flight Museum before it closes for the evening. I'm usually just interested in going back to the hotel and vegging out, but I wanna see an SR71 dammit. Is the Enola Gay there too?

You need to watch your speed while there. They have speed trap cams that are not cheap if they take your pic. Don't ask me how I know. -

downright great idea!! I am there twice per year and really enjoy the time there as it has tons of great stuff to see and do. I even have a few places to go to just watch folks hang out.Comment
