I have been very heavy all my life. In the last year and a half I have lost 75lbs after hitting 325. I still need to lose more but I have more energy than I have ever had. I do things all the time that I have never been able to do. I used a tree climber stand for the first time last season. I jump up in the bed of a truck without thinking about it now. Getting in & out of the bass boat is much easier. Practicing with a bow has built my shoulder muscles. I turn 50 in November.

Yes I found for aches 7 pain and stiffness there is stuff calls guclosimine or some think like that Wal*mart
It like WD40 for the joints When I don't take it I feel it whenI take it I can workout without aches & pains
Your joints need lube So learn to take them daily It takes about week and you will loosen up
When you get old first the eyes go
then the plumbing

When I turned 40 it started to go downhill. At 44 my shoulder thought it could shoot 78 pounds, but it was wrong! (torn rotator cuff) But, I am tough so I did it any way. Mind over matter. Turn off the pain (great, there went the other rotator cuff).
45, I got a shot in the right shoulder, the worse of the two. Now I can draw a bow, but I won't bother with 78 lbs. anymore.
On the climbing the fence issue, I can still get up there, it's coming down that sux. When I land my knees just can't take it.
When I get out of bed in the morning I have to stand there a few minutes to get everything unstuck - knees, ankles, shoulders, back.
I have to keep remembering that it's better than not getting out of bed. One old time told me "Every day above ground is a good day."
