Archery at Mayfest

This past weekend TPWD teamed up with Cowtown Bowman Archery Club and LSBA at Mayfest. TPWD brought out bows and the target launcher so people could try shooting a bow. During the event 3000 kids and adults picked up a bow and had an insturctor to help them. This was a great weekend for all involved.
I want to thank all the volunteers that gave some time to make this a success.

I was there for the first shift on Saturday - great weather, lots of good help, and most importantly lots of fun had by our shooters! Good stuff!!!

Cayla and I were out there Saturday morning. Got to meet some great people like Doug, Bob and the rest. There is nothing like it when a person (man, woman or child) shoots a bow for the first time, turns looks at you with a big smile and says.....WOW THAT'S COOL...can I do it again!!!!
