This is for all the fishermen on Tbh, how is the crappie bite In Your area? And have they been hitting in lately? I tryed about a month ago but haven't tryed since.

I hit Palestine this past Monday. I could see the crappie in the shallows, but couldn't get them to hit a jig... period. Tried at least ten colors/schemes, all of which have been successful in that area in the past... nada.
That said, I've gotten into them the other couple of times I've been able to shake loose. -
Here, they are good early in the mornings and slower throughout the day. Evenings they seem to be moving to deeper waters 10-15 FOW, on brush piles. Bite mornings good on jigs. Pink head, black body and chartruese tail. Evening minnows working better.Comment

I haven't found them and I've tried shallow to deep. This weather is screwing everything up, pushing them out with cold fronts. Last 3 I caught were on brush piles in 14' and the female was full of eggs (last week). When it is warm for a period, the wind keeps me off the lake and here I sit with lots of self hand-tied jigs of varying colors and weight.Comment
