Who's got a bow work bench?

So we are in the process of buying a piece of property and building our last house. The wife has agree to dual oversize two-car garages, one of which will be my man place/shop. As such, I will be putting in a workbench area specifically for working on my bows and arrows complete with a bow press. I know some of the TBH faithful have already done this, SOOOOOO........., let me see your setup so I can do it up right the first time! Or let me know of any ideas how to set this up. I'll also have a short range in here for initial bow tuning and a longer range in the back (up to 40+ yards) for longer tuning. SHOW ME WHAT YA GOT BROTHERS!!

I'm also thinking of having two other sections on the bench, one for working on guns and the other for working on my golf clubs. I think it sounds cool, but that's just me.

I would be interested in seeing your layout of your oversized garage, I am in the process of planning a garage for our new house...want the same type of setup as you, have a place for work...reloading, bow work, arrow sizing, etc.

The lot slopes downward from the road so the vision I have is two garages on the road side with a walkway between them that goes to the main entrance of the house. The walkway would be 8-10 feet wide with a semi-covered archway over it. I want the two garages to be 25x30. One will be nightly parking for the cars, the other would be shop/man cave with workbenches along two walls. I don't have it drawn up yet, just visualized. I'll post up a diagram this week. Also looking to see what others have done so I can get ideas on bench space and layout, storage, etc...

This is just a workbench I built years ago.

The arrow saw is mounted to a setup that slides in and out of the front of the bench. I have an apple pro press (which I have absolutely no use for) mounted to another rig that will slide into the 2 receivers when the saw is removed.

Whatever setup you go with, I would put a 12" deep shelf a couple feet above the work surface. It makes a handy place to keep wd40 and the like, or set your beer off the work surface. On the face of that shelf mount a magnetic tool holder to help keep stuff at arms reach, but out of the way. Underneath that shelf mount 4 foot, 2 bulb flourescent lights end to end all the way down it. The little single bulb 2 footers are not that great. Put pegboard all up behind the work surface for hanging tools, supplies, nut/bolt bins, etc......basicly like mine only bigger with more light.

I would cover the work surface with white nylon plastic (cutting board material) available at regal plastics. I've got industrial carpet on mine but it's hard to find small parts on it.

My bow work bench doubles as a kitchen countertop!

                        few changes since then.

one i think was cool was taking a 2x8x24" and using the elect. channel i use for a string jig to have a mounting board for a 4" vice. which allows me to clamp the guns for cleaning and assembly. the board utilizes 4 channel securing bolts to hold steady in place
(channel is embedded between a 2x4 frame with a 2x8. deep channel welded to a backer shallow channel, picture with the pintail)

this is a room addition from half the attached garage.
this picture of the closet shows the hallway also
