So who's dropped Cable?

Just wondering who all has dropped cable and if they really missed it? I'm seriously considering dropping it and just keeping the Internet. Really the only reason I even kept it was to watch sports, but now I can't even watch the Astros (no jokes please). $70 a month saved would buy a lot of deer corn and hunting stuff, what do y'all think?

My wife and i dropped the cable and kept the internet. We do still get the local channels (~20 channels). Sometimes I miss the outdoor channel or the movie channels but we save around $600 a year.

I have direct TV, plus international channels for the fiancee.
I dont watch any sports.

Dropped cable and got a Roku last year. Definitely happy with the decision.

Lived without it for 3 years till december. I have to watch the aggies so since we moved out of college station I had to have cable. Wishi could just pay for the games that I want.

No cable or dish or nada for 3 years now. Not a money thing. I got 3 boys and was fed up with all the junk on there! We go to a friend's house to watch Duck Dynasty on Wed night. don't miss any the other junk!

Eveytime I see my bill I think about doing the same thing. My brother and his family got rid of cable and kept the internet for hulu/netflix.

Had direct tv. Dropped it about 18 months ago. It is about saving money to me and my wife.

We decided to just use Netflix. It took an adjustment period, but I don't miss it enough to get it back. We don't care much for reality tv either so we don't have to watch a show the night it's on.

I go crazy when my satellite goes out with a storm. Couldn't imagine life without TV.
