They are cool animals for sure! We got these 2 down around a town called Salida a year or so ago. If you've never heard them go at it, it sounds like a gunshot.

That is the same area that I spotted my first sheep, apparently there are quite a few in that area.

Saw some a few years ago in RMNP and saw my first ones in the late 80's right on the side of the road somewhere in CO on our way to go snow skiing

There is a good population of sheep in the area you are talking about around salida and Gunnison. I've had two different full curl rams within bow range while elk hunting. Saw about 40 ewes and kids in that area last year. Lots of sheep in and around Yellowstone NP as well. Great pics

I pulled over to take a leak a few miles from the I 10/I 20 split and saw 7 monster rams about 50 yards away and a nice size herd of ewes 200+ yds up a hill. By the time I got my binos out and focused on them, I was amazed. I've seen some neat things hunting Texas, but this took the cake

When I went to school in MT you would see a huge herd about 10 minutes away from campus. Have almost killed a bunch of them driving out to go hunting when they're standing on the highway.
