"Walk to Emmaus" - Spiritual Journey

I just completed a 72 hour spiritual journey called Walk to Emmaus (NET Emmaus walk #13-119 in Lone Star, TX, sat at the table of Matthew). Those of you that have attended an Emmaus walk understand just how powerful, intense and impactful the three day event is. Although the Emmaus Community is often "intentionally vague" in order to prevent preconceived expectations so that each "pilgrim" can receive a truly customized experience, I will say that the program is designed to grow and inspire Christians to a deeper faith and understanding in our relationship with Christ and inspire us to live a life that will minister to others in our respective families and churches, as well as our communties and the world, as we show God's love through our actions.

It marked the first time in MANY years that I have gone without a phone, watch (they didn't want us to keep time) or any electronic device for any extended period, and being without those things for over 72 hours was definitely a test of my faith, obedience and trust that God (through the help of good people) would take care of my business and family during that time.

I didn't post anything before I left because I didn't know what to expect, but I appreciate the prayers and agape love demonstrated by those that knew I was taking this journey. I ask for your continued prayers as I continue on the "Fourth Day" of my journey. I ask that you in the TBH Community would lift me up constantly with encouragement and prayer, as well as in holding me accountable in showing God's love through my words and actions.

    Prayers sent for you, Brother.

I went on a Walk several years ago. It was a GREAT experience that helped me grow as a Christian, a man, a husband, father, and everything else. Good stuff!

Continuous prayers for you Michael. I know several people that have taken this walk. They were not the same upon returning. All for the better.
Praise be God's glory and will shine thru you. Without a doubt.

              72 hours with no connectivity?

That ranks up there with turning water into wine!

Share more when you can. I can tell you are excited about the experience. Good stuff.

                        De Colores Michael!

Walk to Emmaus weekend changed my life back in 2006 - The change that the lord made in me over that 72hr period is just mind blowing - when you get the chance go back and work a few walks as I found that working walks over the years has not only helped keep me stay in tune with the lord but ended up being just as big of a weekend full of blessings as my original walk that I went on as a pilgrim.

sister did this not too long ago- we mailed letters and stuff for her to be given during it or after or whenever.

                          God Bless!

Went on my Walk back in March, table of St. Paul. It truly was a great and powerful thing. Best thing I've done in longer than I care to admit. Prayers up man
