    Lovin state parks!!!!

Well I post on here about the family and I campin/fishin at meridian state park. Well today we went and spend the day at Whitney state park. I have hunted around there but been in there. The rangers where great and very nice. And or kids became jr park rangers. We were after cats but caught some big carp and a few blue gills. We are lookin to go back in may and camp and do some hardcore fishin.

Does anyone else have there favorite state park. We bought a yearly park pass good for every park in the state.

Biggest carp of the day. Check out the sun burn.

Every year for my birthday my brother buys me a year's pass to all the state parks. It's the best gift. I use it as much as I can. Colorado Bend and Enchanted are a couple of my favorites. They all are great and unique in their own way.

When I was living in Canyon Palo Duro state park was my favorite, spent many hours out there since it was a 15 minute drive out.

You sure that is a carp? I could be wrong but that kinda looks like a buffalo.

I'm partial to Copper Breaks state park, it's near, well nowhere! It's perfect for a float tube fisherman like myself. I catch largemouth from sunrise to sunset, or until my arm falls of!

No - it has gotten much better but continued re-occuring algea blooms continue to keep the fishing decent at best compared to what it used to be. My parents live on the lake and my dad is about as avid of fisherman as I know and he doesnt fish it much at all
