I'm at the Ranch in Lampasas relaxing with my dog after a long day working. The sun is going down, it's cooling off, and I'm just listening to all the sounds of nature.

Tbone how do you like that old country pit? Academy has some good prices on them. I thought about getting one until I can finish a heavy duty one.

Bone splitter I love the pit, It was a big step up from what I was using before. I can control my temps real easy. I made my own summer sausage this year and smoked it myself on this pit and it turned out perfect. I wanted a custom built pit similar to this and it was going to run me 2 grand and I just did not want to turn loose of that much for one. When I am done cooking I clean the fire box out and after the pit cools I keep it covered. Hopefully it will last me a while.
