    Turkey wing color?

This was killed in bosque county. Can anybody determine why wings are different color? Is it a true Rio Grande?

            Maybe crossed with a buzzard

Not sure why the feathers are not barred, was the other wing the same way?

He was a big mature bird. 11 1/2" beard. 20 lbs and 1 1/4 spurs. Tall feather color was like a eastern. Will get pics

That's sure might be a cross. Bosque is pretty far west for known eastern ranges, but that bird is very unique.
