Blue crawfish?

We've got a few crawfish in our fish tank at work and this guy is blue. He's been that way for as long as I can remember. I think he was that way when I caught him. Has anybody seen one like this before? We also have a red one somewhere in there too.

I hadn't ever seen one like this before....

Can't say I've ever seen that before. Pretty cool!!! He would make a pretty good fishing lure though

Yes. They are a protected species of crawfish...just kidding! Never seen one like it. Pretty neat I have to say.

At pet stores they are called blue lobsters and if i remember correctly they are from Australia but i dont quote me on that its been awhile since i worked at the fish store!

Dang! I caught this one in a minnow trap in the ditch in the back of the plant.

Seen one at a pet store once. It almost cost me a small fortune... I was ready to set up a tank just to go home with that thing. Pretty cool looking.

We ate crawfish last and the resturant had two blue ones and a purple one in aquariums (seperated crom each other) that they had separated out from the others before they went in the pot. Our waitress said two were males and one was a female and she was going to see if she could breed them and get a bunch of blue ones.

This was at Crawdaddys on 155 just south of Tyler.

We caught one in a trap once that was mostly bright red, but had patches of blue on its back. He was really cool looking, and he had a great big tail that was tasty
