Depends on what you want to do with it? Hunting, (what kind), house dog, etc?

gonna be living in a apartment for atleast a year, but going to be very active and work with dog everyday. Gonna use him for a dove and duck dog and house dog

Haha, same here. My buddy has one. He doesn't hunt, but wanted it for a jogging partner. It is hell on wheels.

Just like any breed, there are some that arent trained correctly or are not bred correctly. You can say the same about labs, GSPs, and any other dog.

I think the posts above are correct in asking what you plan to use the dog for. Is it a duck hunting dog, upland bird dog, or just a companion?

Viszlas are VERY active and need to have a lot of attention. If you want a constant companion that is active, they're great dogs. They can make great upland bird dogs.

Labs are labs - great retrievers and more calm family dogs. Twice as big as a Viszla.

GSPs are in between and the most versatile of the three. More active than a lab, but not as active as a Viszla (usually).

All great dogs. Just depends on what you're looking for in a dog. Viszlas and ducks don't mix very well. You could get a GSP to retrieve ducks, but if you really want a duck dog then go with the lab.
