no, but it was advertised as new...

I'm not following why you don't want to go buy one and be done with it? I know you want to set it up yourself and that's fine. But you want a New bow, just spend the money and start a good relationship with your local dealer

Take it from a guy that overanalyzes price until he is blue in the face buying many, many, many items online. Its not because I am cheap as I will certainly pay to play. I just prefer to look around and get the best bang for the buck. That being said........a bow is one thing I am glad I did not buy from anybody other than a bowshop. The customer service, set up expertise and comraderie I get from Fay at North Texas Archery is well worth the $50 you might save buying it from an online bulk retailer.

I am a Tight @$$ and will admit it. ha ha. just paying 50 to 100 bucks extra is not a good way for me to start a good relationship. I think my first post was not worded well. I want to get a new bow not used. I want to check the price online from a new dealer....cabelas, gander, bass pro, eders, etc. If the pro shop will match it I will buy from them if not I will buy at the cheepest place. Ebay is not a option for me. Thanks again for all the help. I could be wrong but it seems like some people are willing to pay more for customer service. Price is what I look at first. If the price is the same I will go with the best customer service. That is just my way of thinking. When I buy a car I dont go where the folks are the nicest I go where I can get the best deal. The product is the same. Thanks again for all the advice. I agree with the dont buy used but if I buy new it should not matter where you get it.

Fay is a great guy I went in there and talked with him for a few hours when I was thinking about a mathews. I am now looking for a dual cam bow so I am looking more at the bowtechs. Mathews are great bows but not what I am looking for. Just have not had luck with single cam bows. Walmart.....ha ha

Look at the package as a whole. It will cost you more in the longrun I'm bettin' dealing with an out of town dealer.

The problem with that way of thinking is it will cost you more in the long run as a whole in my opinion. Pay me now or pay me later...LMAO.....

You do what you want but in the grand scheme of things, I have saved more money and time going with a local dealer with his warranty service, set up service, knowledge and no shipping costs for those services than I ever would have with an "dealer online"

Smart, thanks for the advice. What other pay me later cost are you looking at? Warranty I am thinking I should be able to go back to bow tech. Set up I want to be able to do my self. I want to compare drive out price...shipping and handling etc I will include. Thanks for all the help! Sorry with so many questions just wanting to make a good choice.

Honestly my savings was in setup, accurate measure of my draw lengths since many bows having varying stated measurements, the ability to try out several accessories to see if I like them hence me not having to buy two or three of everything. Repair parts for those accessories should I break something (not a defect). TBH discounts for being on the site and buying from him since NTA is a TBH sponsor..........not to mention the time he saved me by having it available, setting it all up, checking it for string stretch later down the line, tieing in peeps correctly, serving in my CSS and an area my cam was a little tough on the string/cable, proper tuning when I go to the shop with a problem or slump and watching me occassionally when I'm struggling or in a slump to pick up on form issues.

Like I said. I'd probably still be chasing my tail if I had decided to do everything on my own. Instead I'm shootin' and hunting with confidence in my setup.

Have you ever tuned a binary system?

FTR I tuned my bows back in the day but getting back into it, I don't have the time to chase my tail ......

Hunter's friend is the only place that I know of that can sell Bowtechs online. And to qualify to buy one online, your nearest dealer has to be over 50 miles away. So, if you're dead set on a Bowtech, I'd say your probably out of luck buying online if you have a local dealer.

Archery Pro Shops make a hundred dollars (or so) on the sale of a bow- less markup than you'd pay buying a pair of jeans at a department store.

If you're on a tight budget, look for a used bow through the local archery clubs. Lots of guys buy a new bow every year or 2, and their bows have been taken good care of. If you contact the president and say you're on a tight budget and looking for a bow, does he/she know of anything and could somebody help you out, most archers/bowhunters are great people.

I just can't seem to understand your logic here. You want to buy a top of the line bow, but want to be tight on $50 or so extra dollars spent at a reputable pro shop. If you want to save money, why don't you think about buying a cheaper bow

Guys, I'd say enough with giving advise. I think he needs to learn a very good lesson... let himn buy on line, then when those "binary" cams get out of time, and his string stretches, and he can't figure out why all of a sudden he is getting bad arrow flight let him "go back to bowtech" and see how much help and assistance he gets...

If you're gonna dance, you gotta pay the fiddler... now or later. Being a "Tight *****" as he put it has its place, but serious archery equipment is not the place for it.

Thanks everyone on your post. I bought my wife a dimond edge and it is a binary. That bow is what impressed my about the binarys. I have not done alot of tuning on it. Just about to start the fine tuning. The bow has stayed in time and is shooting great. I did tune my old two cam's and had good luck with it. I just have not had luck with a single cam. Just me.
Smart, I do all of my own bow work, serving, tuning, timing, etc. I understand that they do it for a living and have more "skills" on working on bows. I just need to learn the one bow I have so I think I can do it. Its the off season and I should have time to learn. By posting and asking questions I have got a lot of good help. When I talked with Fay he mentioned the TBH discount after I told him that I am on here every once in a while. Thanks for reminding me I should keep that in mind and see if it helps on price.

Bill, Thanks for advice. I will look into that if I cant find what I am looking for.

CaptainDave....I am the guy at walmart that looks for the cheepest price per unit.....If I can save a dollar I will....ha ha

Mike D that is what I am finding just wanted to check with yall and see if there was a place where I coud price check them

Does anyone know who makes store line that is a made by Bow tech that is a General in sheeps cloathing?
