But honestly I don't care.....as long as they are still producing it and don't charge any more for it....
No more shiner blonde. They just haven't sold through their blonde inventory yet.

Either way I love me some Shiner...
It's this. They put the old label back on the beer.

I was at the brewery the first weekend in March and the tour guide said they were just going back to their roots (read marketing). No more Blonde which is a staple in our small German/Czech community but its now Premium.

How anyone can compare ANYTHING Shiner makes to that razor blade excuse of a beer called Keystone is beyond me.

Got to where I like their Wild Hare, then it disappeared from the shelves. Now it's Farmhouse Ale or something. It's pretty good stuff too. Not sure I could tell them apart in a blind taste test.

Shiner Premium is the beer that they have been producing for a long time. When Bock started getting popular and they increased marketing efforts, Premium was renamed Shiner Blonde. I discovered that if you went to the small independent grocery store in Shiner, Bock and the other "newer" flavors were not any cheaper than in HEB's in the larger towns. But, the brewery took care of its long time fans (the locals) and kept the price down on Blonde (now, once again known as Shiner Premium).

My favorite is Shiner Kosmos but I can only find it in their "Family Reunion" packs.
