    The Vault

I have the worst coon problem I've seen in years. I'm loosing 400 lbs of corn every 2 weeks. I was looking on line at feeders that are "coon proof" I have cheap feeders, (Moultree). What I was looking into was the "Vault" by primos. Has anyone tried them and if so, do they work? Thanks in advance.

I had one and it kept them out for almost 2 years! Then they figured out how to unscrew screws and get the top off... UGH!

Here they are...PEAKING at the camera from the inside!

The problem is, I don't like to shoot guns around my feeders and I have 4 feeders they are vandalizing... I've tried just about every trick in the book. You can see that I tried the PVC trick, don't work... They figured that out in the first night. Funny thing is, when I hunted down in Zapata, the coons couldn't climb the PVC. Refugio coons are quicker to figure it out. I just wanted to see if anyone has tried the Vault. Love to here some feed back.

Did you get it fixed, or did you have to by a new feeder motor?

I just fixed the feeder. They never got into the vault!

I have 4-5 thousand pictures of them trying to get in from the motor, and they never have.

What happened, I can remember when I was a kid, I used to buy a box of 50 .22 shells for 50 cents. I have been shooting my bow since 1986 so I have been out of the gun club for a few years. Is ammo expensive these days?

That is what I needed to hear. I think I might invest in them. I have to figure out how to adapt it to my feeders. I'm sure it can be done...

I put a solar powered hot wire around mine.

                        They learn fast.

Best feeder out there for the money. The sooner you buy it the sooner you will be glad you did.

Had 4 and they were all junk, took em back to academy. Get some dukes arm traps, you won't need a vault. Put two out on each feeder this past weekend. Caught 7 at one feeder in 2 nights and another 6 at the other feeders. You can dispatch them without shooting at your feeder and the deer will feed around them in the trap.
