Should I bypass I 35 @ West on my way to Austin?

I don't want to add to any delays for the ER's.Also if the HWY is bogged down, what is the best route to skip around that stretch of I35.

I think I have seen I35 flowing smoothly on some of the videos this morning?

SH130 is the new toll road bypass from San Antonio to Georgetown. Bypasses all the snarls at Round Rock, Austin, San Marcos and Newbraunfels. Cost a little dough but saves lots of time and mental stress- especially 6:30 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM. 85 MPH and no traffic.

This will not help him bypass West. West is much further North. But it does help if you want to bypass Austin.

Hwy 174 to Hwy 6 turn left toward Clifton to Waco and right on I35 0n to Austin. Pretty drive and don't get bored with freeway driving. You could make a right at the 3rd caution light and go to Crawford McGreger and Moody. You would then pick up I35 at Temple and Belton. Have a safe trip.
