It shook my whole house in groesbeck!! 50 miles away. My wife is a hillcrest Er nurse and is headed back after a 12 shift to receive casualties

Wasn't today the anniversary of the fertilizer explosion in Texas City back in the 40's??



Edit-- was yesterday anniversary.

"A giant explosion occurs during the loading of fertilizer onto the freighter Grandcamp at a pier in Texas City, Texas, on this day in 1947. Nearly 600 people lost their lives and thousands were injured when the ship was literally blown to bits."

Heard it shook windows in Keene

I'm between Cleburne and Keene and it rattled our widows and we first thought thunder and then earthquake

My wife's aunt lives just a few blocks from the plant.Her aunt said all kinds of stuff came crashing in through the roof of her house.

LEt me know if any help is needed with clean up.

That blast threw the anchor 7-8 miles if I read right and the city left it where it landed. I could be wrong on the distance.
