Op Bows & Heroes Update on Tony Stans

Now I am back home I would like to update y' all on our friend
Army Spec 4 Tony Stans, Minnn National Guard

Tony is at home still in isianti Minn and was told last week they they are going to remove his 2 Vertebrae that were damaged in the IED attack in Iraq on DEC 25 06.

they are going to give him two replacement vertebrae and he will be laid up for a longer period of time.

the damaged vertebrae are causing Tony lots of pain and finally the Army & his surgeon agreed he isn't going to heal like he is.

the Big news is his Wife Shelly is expecting twin Girls July 9th.

they are excited but the one bed room apt pt will be tight.

Shelly was driving a school bus but they made her ( made to quit/fired)) because she was so large at 5 months.

Little Hunter got over his pneumonia.

Some will recall I took tony to Fort Ripley Minn on his first bowhunt in Oct.

Shortly after I left he killed his archery spike buck with a Bowtech Stryker crossbow from the new Amerstep blind I purchased at Cabalas' for him.

Tony wants to come down to Hunt hogs before his operation & the twin girls arrive.

Any of you boys got spare hogs for 2 wounded heroes with crossbows?

Here are some Iraq Pix he sent me the 34th Ind Div is a Minn National Guard Div and he was called the BULL BULLS

They renamed themselves the "Desert Bulls."

His 34th Div Blue Bulls had the longest single deployment in Iraq. 16 Months plus day

Tony had 20 kills plus a double confirmed kil, tota 3 confirmed..

Tony shot an Iraqi or maybe a Sundanese dude who was firing a PRG at tony. One single 50.caliber MG round hit him in the chest, he toppled forward and as he did he fired the RPG and he and the guy behind him went boom . It was well witnessed as he got a double kill for that.

Tony is blessed. protected by God, he came home broken and someday will be right again.

Cabelas will rehire him inthe archery dept when eh get out of the army.

Tony is in good spirits, and looks forward to the day he can shoot his Bowtech Guardian again.

    Thanks
