        Cookie,
If I could make a suggestion for the future. When ever you get moved to a state look into a lifetime resident license. I think that once you buy one it is good regardless of what state you live in. For example if you bought on in CO or IL and planned to keep going back there off and on through out your life, you would only have to pay for resident tags. This would off set the cost in just a couple of years of trips back to that state.
Disclaimer: I believe that is how the lifetime tags work once you leave but you will need to check to be certain. If someone else know for sure one way or the other they can post and let us know.

The Texas Lifetime Tag works like Keep describes. I know if I ever move, I'm buying one.

Kirkland because you have plenty of bow hunting in NM mule deer, elk , lopes , bear etc.. and Texas is half a days drive more for the hill country but you could be in good west Texas deer numbers in half a day.

BTW, I'd pick UT, just for the varity of stuff to hunt. You can shoot whitetail any time.
              bighorn sheep
              desert bighorn
              goats
              elk
              bear
              moose (shiras)
              freerange bison
              mule deer
              mt lion
              pronghorn

IL, NM or FL. But if you want to be close to home go with Little Rock

I get Res Tags were ever I am stationed. TX loves it troops enough that it gives us 100% free tags!

When you move, please contact me with your new address. Unfortunately the USPS does not forward the LSBA magazine even if you have a forwarding order.

A BIG THANKS for your service to our country!!!

I understand you get them while you are in the service, I'm talking about when you are out. Especially if you retire from them after 20 yrs, you'll still be young and can use the lifetime resident tags you bought when you were in instead of paying non resident after you got out.

Good Luck and Thank You for your service, Sir.
