    Peep twist

Why is it that lately my peep is twisted when I draw back? It used to not do this, but now, unless I twist it before pulling back, it will not be right. Is it caused by string stretch or what? My string is two years old. What's a way to correct this?

Is it still the factory string? If so it has probably stretched. Get a good quality string from a customer builder who uses 452x.

String stretch. You can flip some strands to get it aligned again.

No not a factory string. It's a custom string made at Viking two years ago.

Guess I'll take it in and get it adjusted.

Do you use a loop to attach release? Maybe adjust that to be in-line with peep .
I'm no expert but 2yrs on the same string would make me think of the string stretching. I hunt every day/night I can fit in-ALL year long, rain or shine and when my peep started to turn, I adjusted my loop to compensate. My string was kinda worn and I did that just to get another month or 2 out of it before I put my bow in the shop for a new string(NO BOW=NO HUNTING).

No string loop. ( I don't trust em).
I twist it to the side before I draw and it's fine, but in the heat of the moment, I'm afraid I'll forget and blow a chance. I think it's better to just take it in to get some slack taken out.

Mine does the same (string loop) but its become habit to turn the peep that I hardly even notice it anymore

Stick your bow in a bow press, or a friends press, take your string off and put 1/2 twist in the direction it needs to go, and it will be fixed. 1/2 twist won't hurt your factory specs either.

                    Takes all of 30 seconds....

Same here. Been fighting the string loop for years and the specs are still right on so I do not want to change the string. Twisting before shooting is habit now. Have had several bowshops try to correct it but it always returns.

That's what I heard too. Now it's just finding time to bring it in. I don't have or know anyone with a press.
