    Learned a hard lesson

Leave the bow work to the professionals. I have only had my Destroyer LE for 24 hours and so I decided that I couldn't wait to get it set up for me. I was going to try to flip my peep. First thing to do is cut the serving holding it in. Slip, SNAP! Awesome! Korbin's strings already ordered and will be installed by a professional. Way to start a weekend.

So you cut the string off? Might want to have the bow looked over real good just to make sure nothing else was damaged when the bow let go.

Dude, I did the exact thing to my Stinger. Had it out o the box for 10 minutes and sliced the string...

There are some good guys out there that work on bows, but i doubt very seriously if the word "professional" could be used on 10% of them, and that's being generous.

Nobody will care about your bow the way you do. When you learn how it works you can tweak it to fit you better, and thus shoot better. Mistakes will be made, but that's part of the learning process. I would encourage you to learn how to set up and work on your own bow. It will make you a much better archer.

Bummer, don't get too discouraged. I have been afraid to mess with anything on my bow for a long time. Finally bought a 2nd used bow and have set it up myself. I almost have it tuned in, (after 4 months of messing with it off and on.). It has been a good experience, I have learned a lot.

It didn't go all the way through thankfully. I still have half of the strands holding. I backed down the weight and put a nylon strap on it for support in case the remaining fibers can't hold the weight.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Factory strings aren't the best anyways. Youll be much happier with Korbins, or other custom strings makers.

Sounds about like the luck I had the past few days.

                          C. Take it apart and see how it works.
