What was your first compound bow?

Ok, this thread is just for grins.

What was your first compound bow?

And, what is the oldest compound you still have?

My first was a 45 pound Jennings Sidekick. I don't think it was adjustable.

The oldest compound I still have is a Jennings Super T. It went up to 60 lbs and threw a 2117 about 190 fps. Killed two deer with it with Savora 3 blade heads.

Still use my first bow. Switchback XT. It is 17 months old. Haven't been at this game long, but long enough to know I can't get enough.

My first compound was a Martin Ocelot in 1978.@55#,it seemed like it about 55fps.Instinctive shooting, made my first bow kill on a whitetail spike with it @18yds. shooting a Satellite broadhead,YES!!!!!!!!The oldest compound I still have, bought in 1980,is a PSE Laser 55-65#.Compared to the Martin,it was a laser It would sling an arrow @ around 180fps.............a speed demon!!!!!!!!!!I killed five deer with it.Three were shot instinctive and two,I cheated and used a sight. My how things have changed.I'm not going to say how many I missed, just know it was way more than I killed .A friend borrowed it last season and killed a 145" buck with it.

Mine was the very first compound on the market and the one that held the first patents for the compound bow. It was the Allen Compound bow. I did however, sell it when I bought the second bow, a Browning Explorer. I regretted selling that bow but had to so i could buy the Browning. I started searching for one several years ago and thanks to a TBH member, I now have one just like the one I sold.
I get a big kick out of showing it to some of you pups out there and looking at your faces when you hold it. We have come a Looooong way folks!
