No Turkeys this time

Well my brother and I finally made it to the lease this weekend to fill the feeders and for a little turkey hunting but there were no gobbles to be heard. It was a little disappointing but we still had a great time, plenty of other wildlife to watch and the weather was pretty nice also 41 Deg yesterday AM and 78 Deg yesterday evening.

With the corn price @ $6.79 per bag and gas @ $3.29 per gal, it looks like we will limiting our trips to the lease & we will be using bulk corn from now on.

I didn't hear anything either. Last week they gobbled pretty good? I'll try next weekend.

Was pretty quiet around out place this weekend too. Gobblers are still all "henned up"!

Every Tom I saw was hot on the trail of a hen and paid no mind to anything else.

I did have two very nice longbeards at 10 yards this morning but they were trailing hens and never stopped walking. I could never get the camera and the bow on them at the same time!
