Got home today to be informed that the new Vacuum is not sucking. So I called WalMart and told the girl at CS (after a 10 minute wait of course) that I got a Vacuum for Christmas and it isn't picking up, can I exchange? Her reply, "Sure, just bring it in with your driver's license and we'll take care of it". I thought to myself that she was great. Sure as a Bear Shivering in the woods, I was denied the exchange after I lugged it in the store. Then there was no Manager there to answer a call - (Waited 15 minutes to talk to him before I gave up). Then I called the District Manager - As usual and totally foreseen, no answer from him but I left a message. Then I called Wal-Mart Corporate in AR...Got someone there who passed me off to someone above her but who will, "Get back to" me. So I've got a 14 week old Vacuum that doesn't work that cost $200 and I cant use it. Walmart is great for getting things you didn't know you needed as long as you don't care about it being disposable. Thanks for letting me vent guys!

LOL Rocoso - No sir...we use it very frequently. Like 3 times a week because our weenie dogs are house dogs. Chef - I blow out the cones up top about every few weeks cause the carpet tends to collect up in there. I changed the exhaust filter and cleaned the fine suction filter. the hoses are clear of debris. I'm just lost. I'm usually pretty handy with this kind of stuff but I'm lost with this one. when I first got it, when you pull the hose out to use there is a flap that's supposed to close off the brush end from sucking - it quit flapping. It's a Bissell HD with a 5 year warranty! and they wouldn't even consider helping me out.

Is there a reason you shouldn't contact Bissell? I could understand if it were a couple of weeks old but it's over 3 months now. I can understand your frustration with the product but not sure it should fall upon Walmart to take it back at this point. FTR I'm not a fan or frequent visitor to Walmart.

I'm sure I'm just old school but you know when you sell crap and so does everyone else but when you sell something that is the top of the line in your retail store, you should back it. just IMO. Whats Bissell gonna do, tell WalMart No? I guess really, my biggest thing was being told I could exchange only to go thru all the motions and get told it was a no-go. I found it extremely disrespectful and then on top of that the girl asked me, Well what was the name of the girl you talked to?" like I was lying or something.
