    Chippewa owners I need advise

I just got a new (to me) pair of Chippewa snake boots. They are tight in the calves. Does anyone have any advice on how to get these to stretch? Any advice on how to break these in quickly. Snakes are out already at the lease.

Quit doing calf raises! Seriously, my first pair were semi loose at the top but this second pair I have are kinda tight as well. Which ones do you have? The tight ones I have are the solid leather. Have you unbuckled the top buckle? That's about all I've got unless you cut them but I wouldn't. Maybe get a football and shove down in them and wet them.

Just wearing them is about the quickest way to break them in. Wear them around the house when your just piddling around.

Alter then at a saddle shop or boot repair. I do not like my chips at all. They sit in garage now while i wear other snake boots. Calf was small on mine too. Plus it was a beast to get in and out of them do to the back of the heel.

Glad to know I am not the only one who has struggled with this. I dont know who he designed these for, but God made my legs with enough structure to hold up and propell the rest of me.

Mine eventually stretched. Most boots seem to be made for skinny leg people these days it seems

                      Ponder did mine as well.

Before the "Heath mod", I could get them on, but they weren't comfortable at all.
                      Now, I love them!

I had the Heath mod as well but I couldn't have gotten them on, let alone worn them without it.

If they are close TTS, I'd put them on, fully submerge them in water, including the tops and inside and wear them. Seems they do best at stretching when they get fully submerged including inside your boots.

Don't have an answer for you on the tight calves problem, but mine broke in fairly quickly. I wore them around the house, and every time it rained, I'd go out back and slosh in the mud with them. I also wore them while mowing the lawn with a push mower and got them wet exploring the creek near my house (that's when I realized mine are waterproof). I was surprised at how quickly they broke in.
