Any good food around Port Lavaca?

Headed down there right now to get a camper. Any good seafood dives? Thanks

Is there even anything in that area?

Worked down there many a year.

Tropics off Fulton Street isn't too bad. IIRC the Po-Boys were good.

I did like La Parilla off 35 back in the day. The shrimp stuffed and fried avocado was my favorite.

You can get that at Tropics as well I believe. If you're looking to buy fresh and take home, I used to stop at Evelyn's on the marina.

Just thought of another one. Couple of years back, there was a new restaurant (And for the life of me I can't remember the name) that's on the North side of 35 right close to the causeway. Had lunch there a few times and it was pretty good.

Shellfish? It was ok the one time I ate there, but then nothing in PL has ever wowed me. Outrigger up the road in Palacios is not too bad and if you want a dive it fits the bill. You could always head back toward 59 and hit Mustang Creek BBQ in Louise. The view in that place was REALLY good the last time I stopped.

As MassMan stated above it's the Shellfish.

I'll try and find shellfish. So I can get some oysters to bring back. That's awesome. Are they expensive.

Shellfish is on the right as soon as you cross the causeway.

if you want oysters to take back home, right next to Shellfish is Big Bear Seafood. You can buy gallons/ quarts there

Probably run anywhere between $52-56/gallon - might find a little less.
