Wife is going crazy a little while ago and screams you have to come see this!
I am sitting in my recliner reading TBH "marriage counselor season III" when I hear dogs barking and pig squealing as she opens the door.
I live on the back side of 60 acres with nothing but woods all around me up to the county road a 1/4 mile up my drive way so anything can happen in my yard as I live in a pine thicket.
I scramble to my shed grab a bow but have nothing but field tips on my arrows! I grab a pack of RamCats and scramble to open the bubble pack without cutting myself on the dual sharpened blades and finally get 3 screwed on.
I tell my daughter to get my snake boots as it sounds like they are about 50 yards below my house near a small creek having it out.
I take a trail to one of my stands and don't even get 30 yards from my front porch and there they are in the thick brush going at it. I see two large dogs and one HUGE pig! It's too thick to shoot and I'm trying not to get whomever dogs are in the fight. (my dog that plays with pigs died two days ago....
)
Finally the hog breaks free and they go down the creek bed and the big pig backs into a small cave like bunker where a large tree had fallen during a storm. The dogs are grabbing ears and anything they can on this huge beast. Finally they all get tired and nothing but heavy breathing LOL. One of the dogs dipps down in the creek to cool off while the other holds on with just pig and two dogs heavy breathing. I'm thinking maybe I will get a shot soon and before you know it the pig bolts away from the dog and I draw and shoot before the dogs get in the pathway and underestimate the distance and shoot under the pig as it's running away from me!
Darnit!
I was concerned as I had never seen these dogs before either and one appeared to be a bulldog breed (little dark in the woods to make out 100%).
Now if you see a pig with some ears missing this be the reason!
