I'm left wondering if he's praying that I don't arrow him while he's praying?

I went out last night hoping to wait on these guys, but had stomach pains and was perspiring well before midnight. I only knew that if I was going to get sick, I didn't want to still be up in that tree when it happened. Alas, I came down, and so ended my hunt. (No further physical difficulties and I have no idea what was going on there in my body.)

Is that what came in while you were gone?

I think what you had was target anxiety. It's like target panic but way before you draw the bow.

    I just had to.

In retrospect, I think it was pollen allergies. The live oaks are pollenating like crazy now. I'm just glad I got down without passing out - I think it was really that close. But once out in the pasture away from all the trees, no problem.

And yeah, the pigs showed up later, and there wasn't a kernel of corn left the next morning.
