Put it as close as possible as the lens makes things look farther away than they really are. Not great in low light unless its one of the new ones.

Dont record the 960 or 1080 settings unless you have a fast processor computer. I always record in 720p60fps. Clear video and still enough to get awesome slow motion shots.
