I just had another first while hunting. Vane ripped off in mid flight.. Arrow went NUTZ. Almost hit the turkey... But it was side ways when it barrel rolled by it's feet... I can't catch a break today. Maybe tomorrow will be better!

Well our Brady trip was good. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to let a stick loose. Sorry the update is a little late, found out when we got out there that its the cell phone black hole. That being said, the birds weren't really active. Saw alot of hens, jakes were skidish and the toms weren't having much of anything to do with a call. Heard alot more gobbling this morning than anything else. All in all it was a good trip cause I was hunting ! Coach W sorry about your run in with Murphy. Keep it up out there guys. Look forward to hearing about one getting skewered !

It all worked out in the end for me. Took a nice tom sunday evening, last few minutes of the hunt... Brought it down to the wire. And even got back to the house in time to introduce the boy to his first turkey... He and i were both pumped.

I haven't put anything to tape... Come to think of it I've never measured anything on a Turk before.... I got his fan, beard, and feet prepping to be mounted on some sort of plaque... And the most important part (the meat) in the freezer... Gonna have to fire up the grill soon. I love me some turkey kabobs!

Will take some measurements tommorrow and post up.
