If you choose a mouth/diaphram call my best advice is make sure it fits your mouth. if it doesnt fit it will vibrate and drive you nuts and youll never get a pure sound. many people use the youth daiphrams if they have a smaller mouth structure.

Thanks for all your help guys, I got a box call and experimented with it yesterday. It worked well with several toms coming in close enough for a bow shot. I just picked up a hen and one jake decoy. Do I need more decoys?

One more question for the brain trust, I happen to set up a tree stand right next to a turkey roost, can you call them around the roost. I would rather move my stand if it is going to freak them out?!?!

if you are set up too close to the roost, you may push them off befor light enough you wont get a shot, happened to me last trip... i could never learn how to use a box call, and the push button sounded like a dieing hen so quit using it. Got a slate call and really like it, its so easy to use.

          good luck

Set up about 100-200 yds from the roost. Be in position when they are about to fly down and start calling. They'll have morning wood and be ready to mount!
