    Food Plot Plow Question

Do you think I could plow a food plot in Cottle county with one of these behind a Ranger?

The company says, "The Chisel / Tine Plow is a perfect implement for initial soil preparation. Beveled edge, spring steel tines cut through hard pack soil, leaving deep furrows for seeding. Attach to the 1-Point Lift System with a single pin."

    What yall think?

Don't know anything about your county, but that implement doesn't look like it would handle dry, rough ground very well. How do you plan to get weight on it so it digs in enough?

Man that dont look nothing like my chisel plow. I know it wouldnt work here but cant speak for cottle county. It varies alot depending on the type of ground. Tractors obvisouly work best anywhere over atvs and utvs.

The idea is to use their 1-Point Lift System. It manualy lifts & lowers to allow the implements to apply down-force for ground engagement. The 1-point lift system installs into a 2” hitch style receiver. Total cost for the lift system and plow is less than $300.

I dont think you can break much ground with that. And if it did go in, I dont think the ranger belt could handle it very long. And it wont handle hardly any trash before it clogs up(Trash cant get thru)And with that attachmet, the more down pressure you put on it, the less traction at the rear wheels your going to have. M2c's. Good luck

Cool! Sounds like it could work. I'm guessing a little moisture in the ground would help it out a lot.

I think the main problem You would have is if there is a lot of trash it would act like a rack.
