I'm gonna hold my opinions till the end, but I'm noticing an abrupt change in certain personalities this season that's not favorable to most fans. Jon - giving away Ghost without a good bye, Sansa - not a bit thankful to Dany for bringing 2 armys, 2 dragons to save the North/Westeros, Dany.....idk, just different. We've gotten to know these characters for years, now when push comes to shove, their almost acting like new characters.

The Night King and his chronies will do that to a person.[emoji2957] I know if I battled dead mofos for a whole night and buried 1,000s of my friends in the process while luckily surviving, I’d be a little hardened and changed myself.

great point, people freaking out about jon not petting ghost is insane to me, I thought It was like an old G saying goodbye to another old G, no affectionate goodbye was needed, just a nod....peoples imagination has gone to crap, they expect reality in a fantasy, which is hilarious

Such a poetic reference of symbolism reflecting on the mythology of the dire wolves and their importance to the Starks, while showcasing an expansive imagination that rivals the likes of the great Frederick Aloysius Palowaski. It is no wonder why you, sir, laugh at all those with, as you have so eloquently referenced, an "imagination that has gone to crap". BRAVO!

You need a tissue because jon didn't pet his direwolf?

HBO showrunners tried to get a scene with jon and a real wolf that was upsized with cgi but they said it didn't look right on film with the wolfs unpredictable movements and such, and getting a scene with a 100% CGI wolf and jon would've been 45 million instead of the several millions with just ghost in the picture...ouch, I can understand why they did that...

LOL!! Yeah- I was pretty peeved about it. I love my dog and couldn't imagine sending him off without at least giving him a 'good boy' pat on the head. I definitely see why it was an issue though. At the very least, he could have spoken a few nice words to the 'pic' of his loyal wolf.

But there are some serious fan theories regarding the snub. Great stuff!

The writing has declined since the shows left the books last season.
I'm interested in seeing where the shows go and how it all plays out but I am really looking forward to reading the books and getting the real story.

I wouldn't rule out ghost making a return but I doubt it since its all about the budget with everything this season which sucks because their is some plot holes that are missing but its still great tv, I loved the Long Night, you just have to watch it twice and the second time youll see everything more clearly because you're ready for it....Ive read every book and the books are completely different with so many twists and turns..
