    A Game Of Thrones

While a little cheesy- the scorpion spear is bad medicine for dragons. In the first Targaryen conquest - Meraxes was killed with one (which also killed queen Rhaenys, the rider). The background and significance of the events get lost in tv series vrs the books.

Dany isn’t coming to grips very well with the fact that Jon has a better claim on the throne. And is a more natural leader. She’s going mad and Varys is about to switch alliances.

It didn’t look very winter in Kings Landing. It was staring to snow when Jamie left to ride north...

Missandei knew she was dead. Bear hug Cersei and jump.

We’ll see the Tormund, Ghost, Samwell, and the wildlings again. Along with Yara. Jaqen is a dark horse.

Since I haven't seen any comment on it so far, consider, fwiw, that Cersei knows her clock is quite likely winding down.

      Why?

Maggie the Frog's prophecy, of course. Maggie predicted 3 children all of whom would die. That's happened. Cersei is pregnant. Thus, unless she miscarries or aborts, she's history. She knows this and is willing to take out quite a multitude with her. Or at least Jaimie, Tyrion and anyone else who has remotely irked her (and their relatives).

I'm thinking it's either Tyrion or Jaimie that ends Cersei as she ends the other. I.e. she kills Jaimie and Tyrion, who would otherwise banish her as he's tired of the violence, in a fit of anger/revenge sends a bolt her way, or vice versa, with Jaimie being tired of her stuff. Either can swear off the throne (Jaimie is sworn King's Guard/Tyrion is a cynic and very short), so either could survive.

I'm thinking Tyrion survives. How do you kill off a miserable dwarf who has already lived a life of suffering and who really only wants the world to be a better place? Current social justice standards simply won't allow this.

Agreed, they should have had the better vantage point.

It's interesting (at least to me) that you mention the books. I was listening to them about 4 or 5 years ago and discussing with a co-worker who told me that the series had not been completed.

          Wait, WUT!?!

I was disgusted and dropped the show and books altogether as I was convinced the show truly was a soap opera that would simply string me along with no resolution in sight. Been there, done that, not interested.

So when I read that this TV season would be the final season with the story effectively being wrapped up, I jumped back in with several prior seasons of binge watching to catch me up.

Do I have a point? No, not really. Other than I appreciate the fact that the producers are bringing some sort of resolution regardless of how lame or unbelievable it might be instead of stringing us along until the show gets cancelled due to lack of interest.

As for George "R.R." Martin, the author who is dragging out the books and stringing his audience along, it's probably best that I can't strategically place him in one of these last 2 episodes. If I had my say, it would not go well for him or his continuing writing career.

For that matter, are dragons just completely blind? If they can't see an armada, what keeps them from flying into cliffs, trees, etc.? Seems like most flying creatures have incredible eyesight.

Yep, that's right, I'm calling BS on the accuracy on this one. Flying dragons? Totally believable - too many stories for them not to be real.

Blind flying dragons? Could never happen.

Ok, maybe with echo location like bats but then they'd have to have huge ears.

See any ears on those serpents? Yeah, me either.

One last thought for my nightly diatribe.

              These dragons are lame.

Sure, they can fly and breathe fire, but they can't see a fleet that's less than a mile away.

They were pin cushions for spear hurling Harpy Boys and had to flee. Smaug wouldn't have put up with that nonsense.

And on top of all that, they're picky eaters. Talk about entitlement. Needless to say, I won't miss this particular wimpy strain. The dragon species are better off without these genetics.

Ok, I think I can sleep now.

This thread really needs to stop posting pictures with spoilers. The dragons have only killed one person where I’m at.

Lol. Yes, I do tend to take the show a bit seriously. It has been going down hill since the show passed the books and the writers have had to make up the rest of the story. It has become a highly predictable PG-13 B-movie joke of a show that the writers seem to just want to put it out of it's misery- but don't know how. I still enjoy it, but not as much as I used to. Thank God there are only 2 episodes left.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end the show 'Sopranos' style, and leave it up to us to try and figure out what the heck happened.

Speaking of jokes... way to go GoT producers for this little gem.

Man I am glad I am not as uptight as you are about TV and books. **** man loosen up. It’s entertainment. ..not life. The Starbucks cup was brought up a couple pages ago.

Isn't Martin working with the writers as a consultant and was recently quoted as saying that the GOT finish is pretty close to what he had for the book? Hell I bet the old man dies before he finishes any more books or the story anyway..

Trust me- not uptight one bit. I guess being a fan means you are only allowed to sing praises for something? Yes, it is entertainment, not life. I can agree with you there. But I have enjoyed everyone's feedback- good and bad, on this thread.

And I also agree that Martin will probably die before he finishes any more books.

I think that was left on purpose. Maybe Starbucks paid for it. I find it very hard to believe no one saw it there.
