Honestly, kind of lost track of her though, after the "Not today" remark, as they jumped around between Danys' futile struggle and Jon Snow with the dragon and Theon dying bravely.

Then BAM, she flies in like Superman... but NO, he stops her... but NO gets him anyway.

In the directors interviews after the show, they mentioned they did that to have that affect. They wanted us to forget about her

Why send your calvary into the dark unknown, stop using the catapults, for that matter have then set up outside the fire ring?

Why not keep some oil on the walls to pour on the dead piled up below?

I get that the battle was hard to see and frustrating to watch from a visual perspective, I thought it was a good episode. Definite misuse of calvary, they were dead regardless. Now Dany and John doesn't have to worry about what to do with the Mongol horde after they conquer Westeros.
