I've got a few days off work so I headed to the deer stand or I guess pig stand is more appropriate. The pigs show up at 7pm and leave at 8am so the hardest part is actually just getting in.
I was sitting watching and caught something in the corner of my eye. I looked and saw a coyote 20 yards behind me down wind slipping down the tree line. I grabbed my bow and drew back. As she cleared a tree I barked at her twice and she stopped right behind a big grape vine. I had one shot and guessed her at 30 yards and let the lumenock fly.
Thwack! She spun in a circle and trotted about 50 yards before taking a little dirt nap.
