Walk back, Paper, creep, french...where do I start on tuning?

I am lost on where to start tuning on my bow. Tuning has come a long way. Can we get a start to finish tuning process on a hunting bow started? Start with a bow that is not set up and checking all the things that need checking. Like ATA brace, cam lean, etc. Then go to what needs done next and finish with a bow that should shoot field points and broadheads to the same point and is shooting at its peak sweet spot? I could use any and all the help yall can give. Thanks!

had mine set up at a pro shop, then paper tuned it, then walk back tuned to finish it off.

Easton Archery tuning guide on their web site for DIY.

Having somebody at a pro shop do it for you is easier.

I let the shop do the initial set up. If it's not shooting field points and broad heads the same, then I'll tinker with it a little. Walk back tuning has always given me the best results.

You can download the Easton Tuning Guide, from Thearcher.com, Print it out and put it in a three ring binder with about 50 pages of blank writing paper. Then sit down and read through it a few times to familiarize yourself with it.

I will post my whole tuning steps later, but this is a good place to start.

Here is a quick question....What if you have done nothing but have your bow set up at a bow shop and you are shooting right on from 20, 30, and 40 yards with both field point and BH would you mess with your set up? I am please with the way it shoots, and I personally don't see a reason to mess with anything but is there some other reason I may need to mess with the set up....

I say don't worry about it then. If you always have a pro shop set it up and it shoots to your liking I would say you have found a pretty good bow shop, consider yourself lucky! I am fortunate that I live close to two good pro shops but I have heard some horror stories on here about others .

I learned to tune bows in High School and have always done my own, I enjoy it, but I buy all my stuff from the pro shops, good folks they are.
