How do I hang a hide on the wall???

I just bought a patchwork cowhide rug to hang on my wall. Only problem is I have no clue what to hang it up with. Can anyone help me out?

I have my bear hung with regular straight pins around the edge.

Gorilla glue should work

A staple gun is what I used.

really small screws. you could situate them so the hair flows over the head and they aren't noticeable.

I used small finish nails.

Black or brown upholstry tacks, work great and better than nails.

How big is the rug and is the wall wood,sheetrock, other?
