Has anyone got a call from this 8667509107 saying their is fraudulent charges to their account. I thought it was a scam at first then I googled the number and a couple banks said it was a legit number.

I've been getting a ton of calls from a 866 number that I believe sometimes say the same thing but they're a scam

I got a call a few months back. They just asked to verify charges. Turns out somebody got my info and was using my cc. Luckily we were able to stop them in time. They saved my butt big time! Only like $80 and my bank refunded every penny

I did directly after the initial call, I think I got it figured out.

Its a scam! Buddy got a call from an 866 number last week and gave his information thinking it was legit turns out it wasnt! He recieved a phone call from his actual banker wed before he flew out to Bristol this weekend and they told him that he was hacked from over sea's. He had to cancel all his cards and the account they were on because he had given them his Routing number and account number! Big time scam dont answer any unknown numbers, call back, text, or open links on any email that you are un sure of! Lots of scamming going on right now from people accross sea's. Also watch out for what you buy on line. Make sure it is a trusted site other wise your stuff will be sold of like mine was! I ordered something for someone from a site that i was unsure of but took the risk anyways. Turns out my banker called me and asked if i had spent $600 in canada.. Not the case when i was sitting at my office desk. Everyone beware of this on going scamming

                          Simple rule.

If they call you, they give you info and you verify.

                          Not the other way around.

Why not just check your account online? The easiest way to know anything is fraudulent is their lack of information. They would say hey your car warranty has expired and so you ask well what type of vehicle do I drive they don't know scam... Your account has been back oh yeah which bank is that with, oh I don't have that information scam. Hey Mr. ______ I'm with chase and we noticed this charge ________ is that correct, legit.

Don't think it has to be that difficult.

Not this simple either. Anyone calling will not get the time of day...period...for this type of subject matter. I will call the bank directly...or better yet...pay them a little visit. Now, there are some legitimate calls out there like a company calling to ask you if you recently tried to purchase $6000 in furs in New York on my visa...yeah, that was a good one...and then they told me to call them at the institution so I could verify the information...I used the number I had. An 866 number does not hold any merit in my book. Cheers!
