    Quiver question

Since I've been bowhunting, I have never used a quiver. I would just stick my arrows in my backpack and roll out. I am considering buying one for my new bow and having it mounted. I see some people mention that they prefer to not hunt with their quiver on. So question, do you hunt with your quiver attached or not, and what is your reasoning.

when i get into the tree i hang the quiver in the tree. its hard to lay your bow accross your lap with it on. also less mass to hang up on a branch or whatever.

I take my quiver to the tree but hang it up and just knock one arrow but because I practice w/o it on at home.
I used to leave one on all the time with my older equipment that had shock in my hand after the shot because it helped like having 2 stabilizers on, but now I shoot a Monster 7 and it has no aftershock in the hand and its also less added weight in the long run.
      Good luck and be safe!

I also remove mine. My bow seems to shoot diferently with it on or off and if it is windy, having it on really move my arm. It's like a sail. Whether you leave it on or off, just practice that way and you will get used to it.

I leave mine all the time. I like having the arrows right there handy. If you keep your bow in your lap, it gets in the way but I hang mine on a bow hanger.

Another one of those personal preference things - a lot of guys shoot just fine with it on. I've never practiced with a quiver attached so I either use a bow quiver which I take off when I get to the blind, or use a Cat Quiver.

Once I get settled in I hang mine in the tree...

I leave mine on. I use a tight spot quiver.

I do both. Depends on where I'm hunting. I have been using a TreeLimb Premium and it comes with a screw in the tree hook to hold the quiver securely to a tree. I do like having mine on the bow in case of multiple shots say at a squirrel or heaven forbid a "miss" as I can easily reload or switch to my junk arrow vs. having to reach for another.

Once in the stand I take mine off, old habit i guess from hunting out of the top of trees in close spaces. I didn't need anything extra hanging on limbs when I was trying to work around for a shot.
