Black Panther killed in Texas by TBH Bowhunter
I shot what I think is the first Black Panther ever recorded in Texas
Sunday afternoon.
It was Windy , and there was a light rain and it was over cast.
The wetness of rain and fog make the pine needles soft and quiet as I stalked through the piney woods.
I guess I had gone about 50 yards when there in the opens I saw what I thought was a long black hog.
As I stalked closer I saw the most beautiful cat, with his long black tail wagging back and forth like a Black Mamba Snake.
I slipped an Easton AC 349 arrow into the loop of my Winners Choice bowstring, then slowly hooked my Carter BK Target release, took Aim and drew.

THUMP
ROAR SCREAM like bloody murder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
An ear Splitting scream startled me and I froze.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hit the panther!
My shot was good but not exactly where I wanted it.
I can blame the rain & wind on that. that.
My arrow paralyzed the might ebony feline right where I hit him.
I had finally shot a Black Panther! And with an arrow too!
My shooting partner has his camera and we were able to take one pix before his battery died.
