I've been working out of town since Oct 2011. Worked in Seattle until last November, then got a job in Wichita. Been working on trying to get home and finally received an offer last week (I got the offer on my way home for Bownanza).
Had a start date of this Monday (18th), so when I got back to Wichita, I gave my notice and left. Normally try to give more notice, but in my line of work, it's not uncommon for short notices.
Got back to the apartment and got a call from my recruiter. My offer had been rescinded. So now I'm outta work, had to buy out my apartment lease and drive home.
The upside, my youngest is on spring break. My oldest comes in tomorrow on spring break and I get to spend some much needed time with Momma and the girls.
I also have several options as far as work, but three of the four mean back on the road. The fourth one may not come before I run outta mad cash and have to go back to work.
Like the title says, I thought not having my TBH STI yet was bad!
