Don't know how OnStar works but can they not pay the fee to rejoin and have onstar track it then? It would be worth the cost of the subscription to recover the vehicle. Just a thought....

Thieves know that onstar doesn't work with a Battery cable disconnected. I really hope they find your car intact. My friend had a Chevy truck stolen ON CAMERA and found it stripped and burned 48hrs later

The on star rep actually told her they could not track the SUV unless the button was not pushed.

She replied "If I could push the beep button then my SUV would not be stolen"

Should treat auto theft like horse theft 150yrs ago. Hang them at the courthouse square. I've kept my onstar subscription just in case. Kinda like insurance. Hate paying the bill but it's worth it when you need it.

Thats BS.. OnStar unlocks vehicles all the time..Maybe that person just didnt know what they were talking about. I would call back and talk to someone else?
