Alternative to corn

I am trying to find a thread from earlier this year about an alternative to corn in your feeder. I can not remember what it was. And no it was not pea gravel. Can someone help me find this thread? New lease land owner does not want anyone feeding corn because of the threat of killing the quail.

What can we put in our feeders?

I bought that purina brand flex corn stuff last year because they told me it wouldn't clog a feeder. They were wrong. It's still clogged. Again.

Most of the time you need a proper lid.
They sell a black one that prevents humidity and Works great

Been feeding the pets here at the house some leftover range cubes, they haven't missed a one. I'm also not using a spin feeder though.

Not off to a good start. Did you know this before committing?

Some are using cotton seed as a protein substitute. Not sure about a corn replacement.
