All the time. Tough lake for bass but good crappie and catfishing. There are plenty of bass in there but a ton of forage fish also.

If catfish is your target you should go to Palestine. They upped the limit to 50 per person and no size limit except on blues. It's not unusual for me to go there and catch 200-300 in a day with rod and reel in 3 feet of water or less. They average from 1-5 pounds.

Its been years since ive been there but the times i went were good trips. Gotta use baits that the bass aint used to seein. Its a small lake and gets alot of pressure. I always did good using a bomber baby deep n in smokey joe or tennessee shad. Cast out over submerged grass 4-6 ft and reel down til u feel the bait to start tickin the grass then a stop and go retrieve. 4" wacky worms over submerged grass.

There's no fish here. Move along....

              kidding...

If you want cats, come on, there's tons of em. I have 2 trot lines running down my piers that I bait with hotdogs. I used to run lines all over the lake. Now I just walk down the pier and take em off.

Yup....looking over this choppy sob now.

It was better pre-slot. Back when we had hydrilla. There's still good bass but ya gotta work for them.

                      Catfish are easy.

Crappie haven't kicked in yet this year but they are great when they do.

My love now is catchin big bream on a fly rod!
