Sushi grade tuna in Houston?

Every once in a while HEB or Kroger's will have sushi grade, but not very often. I usually get mine from Whole Foods.

Champions Seafood Market at Steubner-Airline and Louetta. Woodlands Seafood Market off I-45 and Rayford/sawdust.
$18/lb. 4 1" steaks usually runs me about $32

Call ahead to make sure they have some in stock. Champions is usually a little cheaper.

This is a great suggestion. The owner is a good guy.

Give the owner your contact info and ask him to call you when it arrives fresh. I am on his list to call when fresh Cobia comes in.

HEB, but by the frozen steaks. The ones that are in the window with all the other meats and seafood will absorb the different smells from the raw meats. I thaw them out in cool water. Doesn't take long, just don't use warm water!
