Ok...we have decided to got to Hords creek lake near coleman at the suggestion of a buddy of mine. Any suggestions while we are there? Spots to fish on the lake? Places to eat nearby?

Its been nearly 20 yrs since I fished there, so I can't offer any advice on that. The great thing about that area is there are a dozen or more lakes in the area that if you are doing well on one, load up the boat and head to a new lake....
I have to ask why you picked Hord's -
The lake is very low, but the camping is good. I camp at the lake lots during the summer. They have full hookups by the dam. Water and electricity at all the others. Big O's BBQ is about 10 miles south of the lake. Decent barbeque. Also makes a good burger.Comment

A buddy is a fishing guide and he said that the crappie fishing has been good off the bank and that it has good camping areas.Comment
