    r-15 collapsible stock recommendations

I have the 18" carbine Remington r-15 with collapsible stock and notice that I always have a little play when buttstock is extended out all the way. My hopes to fix this would be a magpul ctr in dark earth but I am not sure if this will work the way I hope (much more tight and no play) and what diameter my buffer even is (milspec or commercial) Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed on mil spec i have "slop" but with the same style stock for commercial, no slop

MAKO shock stock. on both. i also noticed that the slanted back on the commercial does not collapse as far in as the mil-spec. 1/8-1/4 inch difference.
Magpul CTR on mil spec did not have slop. (rocking from the vertical not horizontal)
