    Need some advise

Our four year old daughter has been praying three times a day for a sister for the last 6 months or so. Little does she know mama is almost 11 weeks pregnant. Due to past miscarriages and a lot of medical issues for my wife we decided to wait until at least after the first trimester to tell our daughter. Well that time is almost on us. I want a very memorable way to break the news to her. Anyone have any good ideas?

I have no ideas for you, but this is a heartwarming testament to the faith of children. You've got a good teaching moment at hand and I'm sure you'll make the most of it. Congrats to you and your wife and I'm happy to hear of your daughter's answered prayers.

Ask her what names she would pick for a new sister or brother. Then take her shopping for baby clothes and let her pick out the first outfits.

Sounds like your daughter and God may have this all worked out. Praying all goes well.

I like the idea of telling her to pick some names for a brother/sister then tell her that is what her new brother/sister will be named since their on their way.

Maybe go shopping for Nursery furniture such as a bed and let your daughter pick out one she likes and tell her that will be for new brother/sister.

We went through a similar thing. We took her to the dr with us. After the sonogram showed everything ok, we let her in listen to the heartbeat in the exam room. She got so excited everyone in the room was crying.

I like this idea. Send her to the doctor with mom for a "checkup".

Buy her a new tee shirt that says "Big Sister" and let her open it up.

We had a family competition on who could draw our family the best between my wife and our girls. Of course my wife won, but the best part was explaining the pictures. When my wife showed hers one of the girls saw momma with a belly and a stick figure baby inside it. At first confussion set in but moments later both were screaming at the top of there lungs!!

                      Congrats on the new edition!!
